Tuscarora (Cayuga: ''Dasgaowęˀ'' ) is a town in Steuben County, New York, United States. The population was 1,400 at the 2000 census. The town is named after the Tuscarora tribe. The Town of Tuscarora is in the south part of the county, southwest of Corning, New York. == History == The town was formed in 1859 from part of the Town of Addison. There are two locations in New York State with the name Tuscarora. One is in Livingston County (a hamlet south of Mt. Morris) and the one on this page is in Steuben County.
